The PARDO HOUSE
is fitted with Arne Jacobson designed faucets and door handles, and they work wonderfully, Denmark's best design. The house also has an automatic, electronic lighting system that is a pain in the neck. It is like a conceptual art piece: standing there in front of the unmarked controls turning random spotlights on and off, I get the feeling that Pardo has the whole thing recorded and gets a good laugh. The Krabbesholm finally put in a coat rack and some clothes hangers, but before we used to toss clothes onto one of the fancy chairs. The photo to the right is a close-up of very thick plywood beams supporting the roof.
