What do you do and why do you do it?

We play music for children between 95/96 ( in school, kinder garden, festivals...etc) , Last years we have started our own label :AUTOBUS, now we would like to produce ourself dragibus and others musiciens who work actually for kids or who have worked long time ago- Next album on AUTOBUS will be Erno Kiraly, an old musicien from hungary. He built himself some strange instrument, he was etnomusicologue few years ago. We have many project with other musicians, or sound poet like Maurice Lemaitre. We make this, because we would like to propose for kids some atypical musique, an other direction from what we can hear actually for children.

What is your brief history?

Franq and i met in 1995, we made a band names Gakideka (Punk-noise music). We come both from 80's alternative music. Franq was drummer, i was singer. We start dragibus in our kitchen on 4 tracks just for fun. I remember i was afraid to forgive the lullaby i learned when i was kid in hungary, i wanted to record them, in this time i was student in children psychologie, and Frank worked with children who were mental handicapped, little by little we played in kindergarten or school, and for adultes too-franq started to play with toys and little toy drum. Actually, we play with Leo, a keeboard musicien, who's dressed like a robot!!

What are you up to now, (without sounding like a press release)?

Every day we discover a lot of things in literature, graphisme, music, video-it's so very difficult to choose one. Parhaps the shop of franq : Bimbo Tower in Paris summarizes a lot of things franq, Leo and i like in independent production.

What do you want for the future?

we have a big project actually : we hope to play in hospitals for kids in paris, and old people's homes. We think now to work in this direction. It could be a very good experience!!! We think about a new record too but before we would like to play more in europe like germany, italy, spain.

It is realized in japan, now we think to make new one from france with little animations, but always in a simple spirit. Our website is above all for the concert actuality of our band- i like the idea that everybody can make a website without big technologie or a big budget!! some sites are very simple but efficient for the message they want to let.
