Do is Joseba Irazoki, a guitarist from the mountains of Euskadi. This amazing album speaks of the roots of trees and tangled power cables linking his world with ours. His technique is a deft but simple electric guitar skill with the emotion of a letter-writing dreamer, and comfortable electronics. As research tells us, his language, Euskera, has no known roots in any other language in the world: not latin, not germanic, not greek or arabic. It is a mythic and wonderful sound, and as connected to the mountains as the wildflowers.

Wer sich in ungefähr vorstellen kann, wenn man - hypothetisch - digitale Knisterklänge und Soundscapes mit Folk und einer gebrochenen Haltung gegenüber Beats zusammenbringt, die mich ein wenig - ich weiss auch nicht warum - an Kid Koala erinnert, der ahnt in welche Richtung diese Platte geht. Unglaublich schöne Melodien aus clickenden Sounds, Gitarren, Bläsern und sehr klapprigen aber leichtfüssigen Beats, manchmal, und keine Scheu davor auch schon mal auf etwas hinzuzurennen, dass leicht aus den Fugen ist. Musik wie ich sie viel zu lange nicht mehr gehört habe.
